To actually place the 2.5m-long and 0.2mm thick indigo silk thread onto the dial, Ressence uses Geneva-based atelier GVA Cadrans, where a craftswoman spends two days working on each of the dials. The thread is applied as a single piece, starting from the outwards edge and weaving continuously through the carved-out sections of the dial. Ressence says that special bonding materials were used to preserve the striking indigo color of the fibers on the dial.
